About our company
Great Wall Travel and Tours is a privately owned tour company and is an officially registered business in Nepal.
The company was established in 1996 with the name of Raj Sahara Tour service and mainly focussed on transportation. Considering the growing global market of tourism and its growth in Nepal, Raj Sahara Tour Service expanded its services since 2009 as a tour operator transforming its name as Great Wall Tours and Travels with a concept of sustainable tourism and development. The name of this company, Great Wall Travel and Tours is derived from geaographical feature of Nepal with the fact that eight highest mountains in the world on the northern part of this small country naturally stand like a Great Wall and always remain impassable.

How do we work?

As a player in the field of sustainable tourism we have carefully designed the itineraries keeping the welfare of local communities into consideration. The treks would be led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide/leader but the support staff and porters will come from the communities only. After training and employing, we aim to rely on the local guides and all other staffs from the village, so that they do not have to go abroad for their employment. We also provide Volunteer opportunity for the welfare of local communities.
